The effect of Poverty
One of the persistent problems of many people nowadays are facing is poverty. The thing here is, many families have many children but they only earn so little and they have to use it to feed so many mouths, many people don’t die because of illness but because of the very fact that they are so poor that they can’t survive. Maybe for us, this is just a common social issue, but the bottom line here is there will always be people who are homeless and hungry. There are lots of reasons we have to consider why poverty is happening.
Firstly, most of the people especially children can’t even go to school. Because of the poor knowledge that they have, they cannot even go to places where they can educate themselves which will lead to having a decent job that makes enough money for them to support their family. Secondly, because of inability to achieve their goals in life, they may feel bad about it and this may lead to frustration and having a heart full of hatred. This is a very serious matter to all and giving importance to work out this kind of issue is more important thing. Because it will affect not just the physical but also the emotional state of the people. This is a clearer picture of the problem that many countries are facing right now. So, what can you do to end this kind of hardship? Empathy is not enough to alleviate the people that are suffering from poverty. Taking the initial step to help out in your own little way would aid the people who are not just suffering physically from poverty but as whole. To understand their feelings, you have to give interest in showing that you care for them who are in need. There are lots of people who have a heart in helping others especially the people who are in the state of adversity all over the world. But there is one person like Mr. Ronald Shane Flynn who believes that everyone deserves a better life and really has a vision to change the world by extending his help for the less fortunate people. He is the founder of Jesus and God and Mary, a non-profit institution whose main function is to help others by providing educational assistance, family counseling, environmental activities, livelihood seminars and fund raising activities. Remember, in spite of all the good and bad things that are happening or might happen in the future, we should thank the Lord God for the people who still believe that there is still hope for a better world and end this so called “poverty”.
